Lucille Gibson, 88, of Alto Pass, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at the Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center in Jonesboro, Ill. She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Alto Pass, daughter of George Washington and Grace Nora Willison Sides. She and the Rev. Johnnie Beauford Gibson were married May 5, 1937, in Alto Pass. He died May 6, 2004...

Lucille Gibson, 88, of Alto Pass, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at the Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center in Jonesboro, Ill.

She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Alto Pass, daughter of George Washington and Grace Nora Willison Sides. She and the Rev. Johnnie Beauford Gibson were married May 5, 1937, in Alto Pass. He died May 6, 2004.

Gibson was a member of the Alto Pass Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wright of Anna, Ill.; a son, Paul Wayne Gibson of Dongola; a sister, Mildred Ford of Murphysboro, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, an infant daughter, a great-grandson, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alto Pass Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Revs. Bill Carter and Bill Vandergraph officiating. Interment will be at the Alto Pass Cemetery.
