Lucille Friese, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1922, in Arbor, Mo., to Walter and Alice Adkison Hitt. She and Tom Friese were married Nov. 19, 1941. He preceded her in death in November 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy (Arlie) Smith of Cape Girardeau; three granddaughters, Julie (Stephen) Southard and Deborah (Todd) Scheffer of Cape Girardeau, Pamela (Jonathan) Stewart of Bartlesville, Okla.; five great-grandchildren, Claire and Thomas Southard, Michael (Jessica), Heather and Joshua Stewart and Marissa Scheffer; a great-great-granddaughter, Allison Stewart; two sisters, Alice (Bob) Henry of Perryville, Mo., Marie Dooley of Chaffee, Mo.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hobbs Chapel Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
