CHAFFEE -- Lucille Agnes Eftink, 61, Chaffee Route 1, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1993, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Aug. 22, 1931, at Illmo, daughter of Edward Phillip and Josephine Griffin Blattel. She and George Herman Eftink were married May 29, 1954. He died Nov. 6, 1959...

CHAFFEE -- Lucille Agnes Eftink, 61, Chaffee Route 1, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1993, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 22, 1931, at Illmo, daughter of Edward Phillip and Josephine Griffin Blattel. She and George Herman Eftink were married May 29, 1954. He died Nov. 6, 1959.

Eftink worked in the housekeeping department at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, American Legion Auxiliary 389 and VFW Auxiliary 3127 at Chaffee.

Survivors include a son, Mick Eftink, Bonne Terre Route 2; two daughters, Diane Eftink and Brenda Heeb, Chaffee Route 1; her father, Edward Blattel, Scott City Route 1; three brothers, Earl Blattel, Chaffee Route 1, Norman Blattel, Scott City Route 1, Leon Blattel of St. Charles, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Church. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
