SIKESTON -- Lucien M. Stoner, 75, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Bowling Green, son of Thomas E. and Effie Bell Moss Stoner. SIKESTON -- Lucien M. Stoner, 75, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at his home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Bowling Green, son of Thomas E. and Effie Bell Moss Stoner. He and Alice Louise Peters were married April 5, 1941, at Benton.

Stoner had farmed, and since 1949 had owned and operated Pyramid Roofing Co.

He was a member of Missouri Cattlemen's Association, Copper Dome Society at Southeast Missouri State University, member and had served on the board of Missouri Quarter Horse Association, and life member of American Quarter Horse Association. He was a former member of Sikeston Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Lloyd Stoner Sr. of Sikeston; a daughter, Linda Hamra of Sikeston; a brother, I.B. Stoner of Overland; a sister, Martha Tanner of Sikeston; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Charles E. Buck and Tom Geers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
