KLONDIKE, Ill. -- Lucellar Watkins, 93, of Chicago, formerly of Klondike, died Saturday, April 20, 1996, at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park.
She was born Oct. 8, 1902, in Sheffield, Ala., daughter of Alford and Madora Warren Vinson.
Watkins had lived in Chicago since 1978.
Survivors include a daughter, Neomia Cobbins, a son, Garland Rayford, a sister, Ruth Oliver, all of Chicago; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Williams Funeral Home in Chicago from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, and then from 11-11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Klondike.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor Leroy Lockridge officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds.
Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of local arrangements.
