SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Funeral service for Loyd Edward Grindstaff of Sedgewickville will be held at 11 a.m. today at Liberty Congregational Methodist Church near Marquand. The Revs. Eugene McIntosh and Kirby Grindstaff will officiate, with burial in Patton Cemetery.

Grindstaff, 68, died Tuesday, April 11, 1995, at his home.

He was born April 14, 1926, at Sedgewickville, son of Julius and Ida Bollinger Grindstaff. He married Mary Iva Jean Kiefer April 16, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.

Grindstaff retired from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis as a sub-assembly inspector. He was a member of Liberty Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, the Rev. Kirby Grindstaff of Patton; a daughter, Jeanine Meyer of St. Paul; a brother, Glen Grindstaff of St. Clair, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Liley Funeral Home at Patton is in charge of arrangements.
