CANALOU -- Funeral service for Loyal Marie Jones of Canalou was held Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at Sikeston. The Rev. Mike Cartwright officiated, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Jones, 76, died Thursday, June 10, 1993, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Dover, Ark., daughter of Alex and Lucy Clayton Partain. She and Earl R. Jones were married Dec. 2, 1933, in Dover.
Jones was a retired cook from New Madrid County Schools, where she worked 16 years. She was a member of Canalou Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dale Jones of Marion, Ark.; three daughters, Eva Jones of Matthews, Sue Malloy of Canalou, Ruth Sanders of Advance; a brother, Clayton Partain of Russellville, Ark.; three sisters, Rosie Murphy of Glendale, Calif., Iva Ragsdale and Ruby Harris of Russellville; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, granddaughter and two sisters.
