PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Loy McGraw, 60, of Fort Madison, Iowa, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 14, 1941, at Lixville, Mo., son of Virgil and Mearl Hanners McGraw. He and Ramona Seabaugh were married July 3, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo.
McGraw was a heavy equipment operator 28 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Fraternal Order of the Moose in Fort Madison, and Operating Engineers Locals 150 and 537.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Thomas McGraw of Fort Madison; a daughter, Tami Courtney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three brothers, Frank McGraw of Hamilton, Ill., Larry and Kenneth McGraw of Perryville; four sisters, Imogene Bucher of Clubb, Mo., Dixie Weith of Perryville, June Kiefer of St. Ann, Mo., Sue Trafton of Wapello, Iowa; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Funeral was held Monday at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison. The Rev. Gordon Lundberg officiated. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Sargent's Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, Mo.
