Loy Edward Haupt, 77, of Neosho, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1991, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born July 3, 1914, at Millersville, son of Pearl and Minnie Moore Haupt. He and Lela Slover were married Oct. 20, 1938, in Cape Girardeau.
Haupt was a retired personnel manager with International Shoe Co. of St. Louis, and was an active deacon in the Baptist church 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carolyn Emerson of Florissant, Phyllis Roberts of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Stephen Haupt of Neosho; two brothers, Wilbert Haupt of Jackson, Hubert Haupt of Blue Springs; two sisters, Bessie Gross and Doris Adolph of Farmington, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Ferguson. The Rev. Mark Emerson, a grandson, will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park here.
