ADVANCE -- Lowell Ladd, 68, of Advance Route 2, died Friday, March 1 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 30, 1922 near Advance, the son of James Nathan Ladd and Nellie Umfleet Ladd.
He was a farmer and resided at Advance Route 2 all his life.
He attended the Assembly of God Church in Greenbriar, Mo.
On May 9, 1944, he married the former Erma Whitehead near Advance. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jerry Ladd, Advance Route 2; two brothers, Marcus Ladd, Advance Route 2, Charley Ladd, Marble Hill; three sisters, Opal Carlton, Advance, Goldie Pickett, Advance, Lillian Shoffert, McCook Neb.; three grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call today from 5:30 -9 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Balch Cemetery near Zalma.
