Lowell O. "Butch" Dalton, 83, of Fruitland died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Gale and Jessie Finley Dalton. He and Rosalie Lehne were married April 25, 1942, in Cape Girardeau.
Dalton owned Pevely Milk Distribution in Scott City and then worked for Bluff City Beer before retiring. He was a member of VFW Post 6407 in Scott City.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.
Dalton was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Dalton; two daughters, Cheryl Dalton of Green Bay, Wis., Carla Joyce of Jackson; a brother, Bob Henry of Perryville, Mo.; and special friends, Kim and Earl Bennett of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau with full military honors by Missouri Military Honors Team.
