CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Louise A. Swank of Charleston will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Bill Summers will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Swank, 81, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Dec. 9, 1916, at East Prairie, daughter of James Peyton and Sudie Ann Blackburn Lane. She and Lyndell Eugene Williams were married in December 1934. He died in 1940. She later married Loren Marshall Swank in November 1944. He died in June 1975.
Swank lived in Charleston most of her life. She retired from Brown Shoe Co. in 1981. She attended Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Williams of Fenton; a sister, Thelma Laird of Charleston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
