Louise Seiler, daughter of the late Otto and Elizabeth LeDure Vetter, was born June 11, 1928, in Commerce, Missouri, and departed her life Friday, July 21, 2023, surrounded by family at Capetown Senior Living Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 95 years.
On June 13, 1949, she married Herbert Seiler in Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death Sept. 6, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Wayne) Mattes of Cape Girardeau and Linda (Bill) Emerine of Benton; three sons, Bill (Mary) Seiler of Jackson and Jim (Cecelia) Seiler and Mark Seiler, both of Benton; 10 grandchildren, Chad (Leeanna) Seiler, Jarett (Rachel) Seiler, Emily (Ian) Wille, Ryan (Amy) Mattes, Rebecca (Kerry) White, Derek (Mary Clare) Emerine, Christina (Jason) Bruenderman, Eric (Tess) Seiler, Lisa (Chevy) Slusher and Allison (Drake Mouser) Seiler; and 21 great grandchildren, Cole, Kara, Ava, Audrey, Karen, Adrian, Nicole, Dominic, Kelly, Owen, Collin, Connor, Luke, Ellie, Anna Clare, Tully, Livi, Leah, Luke, Sadie and Elliot.
Apart from her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Vetter; three sisters, Clara Dohogne, Bertha Dumey and Alma Vetter; and one daughter-in-law, Karen Seiler.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents of Capetown Senior Living and the nurses who cared for Louise.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Prayer service will be at 5 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, with the Rev. Daniel Belken officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
