MARBLE HILL -- Louise Robins Browne, 91, of Marble Hill, died Friday, July 1, 1994 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born at Marble Hill on July 28, 1902, a daughter of J. MARBLE HILL -- Louise Robins Browne, 91, of Marble Hill, died Friday, July 1, 1994 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born at Marble Hill on July 28, 1902, a daughter of J. Monroe and Flora Anna Williford Robins.

In 1937, she married Leonard W. Brown. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, James L. Browne of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Four sisters also preceded her in death.

Browne taught school in the Webster Groves, Maplewood and Richmond Heights school district. She was a member of the Missouri Teachers Association, National Retired Teachers Association, Marble Hill Study Club and the Marble Hill First Baptist Church.

Friends may call Monday at the Liley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Liley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Ritter, pastor of Marble Hill First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
