SCOTT CITY -- Louise Reid, 81, of Scott City died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1918, at Portageville, daughter of Walter Monroe and Mary Lula Hall Laymon. She was married to L.C. Reid. He died Feb. 15, 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Reid of Scott City and Danny Reid of Bradenton, Fla.; eight daughters, Wilma McDaniel of West Port, Ind., Alene Woolsey of Sikeston, Velma Smith of Lilbourn, Betty Lou Baehr of Granite City, Ill., Faye Myers and Linda Parker, both of Scott City, June Perez of Jackson, and Sharon Clemmons of Gerald; a brother, Charles Richard Laymon of Oakgrove; a half-brother, Ernest Melton Laymon of Morehouse; 40 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, two sons and a daughter.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Home at Portageville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Inman will officiate with burial in Portageville Cemetery.
