Louise Poston, 72, 2835 Lear, died suddenly Thursday, Nov. 17, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Jonesboro, Ark., daughter of Curtis and Etta McGuire Caruthers. She and Clarence Eugene Poston were married Dec. 6, 1951, in Jonesboro. He died in 1964.
Poston moved here in 1954 from Poplar Bluff. She worked at F.W. Woolworth in Cape Girardeau from 1964-83. She was a volunteer at Missouri Veterans Home, and member of First General Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and Order of Eastern Star at Whitewater.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Griffin of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Sharon Wooldridge of Sparta, Ill., Patricia Moore of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harold Caruthers of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Griesemer will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
