Louise P. Bennett, 79, 424 S. Spring, died Friday, Feb. 18, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 23, 1914, at Blodgett, daughter of James and Bessie Deaton Peal. She and William M. Bennett were married Sept. 14, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.
Bennett was a graduate of Blodgett High School, and attended Cape Girardeau Business College. She worked at International Shoe Co. here and in Flora, Ill., for 30 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Mary Meinz of Liberal; a stepson, John Bennett of Batesville, Ark.; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren, and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmie Dace will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
