LOUISE HESS

CHAFFEE -- Louise E. "Moxie" Hess, 83, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 26, 1915, daughter of Ludonis Frank and Anna Mary Weber Schmitt. She and Edward J. Hess were married April 21, 1936. He died Oct. 12, 1978.

Hess retired as a stitcher at Sports Specialty Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include a son, Paul Hess of Malden; three daughters, Anna Glaus and Donna Hess of Chaffee, Mary Landewee of Leopold; a sister, Alvina Scheeter of Chaffee; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 2 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7:45.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
