Louise A. Glueck, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 27, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Cape Girardeau to Joseph W. and Ida Gross Fischer. She and Virgil William Glueck were married April 13, 1939, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Louise attended St. Mary's Grade School and was a lifetime member of St. Mary Cathedral. She was a member of Cathedral Ladies and Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Virgil W. (Brenda) Glueck, Zachary R. Glueck, Talmadge M. Glueck and Paul D. Glueck, all of Cape Girardeau; six daughters, Jerry J. (Vernon) Uhrhan, Joan M. (Bob) Sample, Mary A. (Leon) Stevens, Phyllis L. (Les) Crump and Kathy S. (Robbie) Hadley, all of Cape Girardeau, and Gail Y. (David) Roark of Thebes, Illinois; a brother, Joseph D. Fischer of Willits, California; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Olivia, Margaret, Jolene, Iola and Rita.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Cathedral, with the Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's Building Fund or St. Mary's School.
