Louise A. (Ayers) Colon, 82 years young, of Cape Girardeau passed on Thursday, Aug, 10, 2017. Her children and loved ones surrounded her as she went on home to glory to be with her sister, Hazel; husband; son; mother; father; brothers; and sisters.
She was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Essex, Missouri, to the late Lee and Odell Ayers. On Nov. 5, 1953, Louise and Wilford Colon were joined in holy matrimony in Cape Girardeau.
Louise was a great mother, sister, friend, grandma and all-around loving person. She was a very hard worker who loved to provide for her family. Louise never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need and did it with a smile.
Louise worked over 40 years for Dr. L.R. and Betty Jean Seabaugh as a housekeeper, friend and second mom to all the Seabaugh children and became a second mom to Lloyd and Jannie Ervin and their children, and she loved them all dearly.
She accepted Christ during her early years. She attended New Horizon and Rheme Word Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Colon; a son, Wilfredo "Duck" Colon; sisters, Hazel Jackson and Adell Nelson; brothers, Sonny, Henry, Jerry, Jim and Marshall Ayers; and her mother and father, Odell and Lee Ayers.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Mary (Eric) Lee of Gosnell, Arkansas, and Pat (Tissy) Colon of Cape Girardeau; son, Michael (Tamara) Colon of Cape Girardeau; special sons, James Belle of Black Jack, Missouri, and Luther (Suszanne) Bonds of Cape Girardeau; brother, Dale (Loualle) Ayers of Jackson; brother-in-law, Bill Colon of Cape Girardeau; and sisters-in-law, Mary Giboney of Denver, Louise Ayers of Cape Girardeau and Emma Ayers of Dallas. She also cherished and loved dearly her "special baby," Kiara Parker; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will follow at noon at the church. Burial will take place at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
