EAST PRAIRIE -- Louise James Cobb, 73, of Sikeston, formerly of East Prairie and Lakeland, Fla., died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at the Charleston Manor Nursing Center.
She was born in Puxico April 26, 1926, daughter of the late W.M. and Maude Raymer James. She had lived in East Prairie most of her life where she attended the First Church of God. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married Richard Cobb, who survives the home.
In 1973, she and her husband moved from East Prairie to Lakeland where she was a member of the Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. They later moved to Sikeston where they lived the past nine years.
Survivors include a son, Rick Cobb of Ellenwood, Ga.; two daughters, Donna Cobb Stradley of Tampa, Fla., and Valaree Cobb Brock of Odessa, Fla.; three sisters, Christine Gibson of Charleston, Eathel Doolittle of Satsuma, Fla., and Hilda Gullion of Monroe Falls, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Shelby Chapel, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie.
