TOWN AND COUNTRY -- Louise B. Smith, 81, of Town and Country, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1995, at the Clayton House Health Care Center in Town and Country.
She was born April 27, 1914, at Dyersburg, Tenn., daughter of Charlie and Mattie Kendall Middleton. She married Meddie W. "Smitty" Smith on Nov. 22, 1929, at Blytheville, Ark. He preceded her in death June 26, 1988.
Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include three sons, Jim L. Smith of Killen, Ala., Robert E. Smith of Madison, Wis., and Jerry L. Smith of Town and Country; two brothers, Guy Middleton of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Charles Middleton of Dexter; two sisters, Bonnie Jean Turnage of Flint, Mich., and Ruby Nell Riddle of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
There will be no visitation. Graveside rites will be at 1 p.m. today at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, with the Rev. Randy Thomas officiating.
