Louise Ostendorf Alderman, 76, of Scott City died Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 22, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to August and Lucinda Stock Ostendorf. Louise Ostendorf Alderman, 76, of Scott City died Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 22, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to August and Lucinda Stock Ostendorf. She and Daniel Kenneth Alderman were married Oct. 26, 1974, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri. He survives at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Louise graduated from College High School in 1960. She worked at Saint Francis Hospital in food service management. She later worked part-time for J.T. Hill Insurance. She was a member of St. Augustine Ladies Sodality and Saint Francis Hospital Auxiliary.

Louise loved to bake for her neighbors and was an avid gardener and crafter. She was devoted to her husband, and they loved to go to auctions and flea markets.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Kluesner of Oran, Missouri, and Ruth (Leon) Schlosser of Scott City; brother, Paul (Rose) Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Eugene Kluesner.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., today at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, St. Augustine Catholic Church or Southeast Hospice.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
