PUXICO -- Louis Warren Fields, 68, of Webster Groves, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born April 6, 1927, in Pontiac, Mich., son of Houston and Lula Harty Fields. He and Gayle Glasener were married Sept. 27, 1947, in Pontiac.

Fields was a 1945 graduate of Puxico High School and 1952 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He had also lived in Carbondale, Ill.

He had lived in Webster Groves 32 years, and was a sales representative with Nabisco Foods. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Louis Fields Jr. of St. Louis; two daughters, Brenda Rodi and Kathy Murphy of St. Louis; a sister, Freda Hendrix of Detroit, Mich., and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. Wesley Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
