LOUIS VINSON

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Louis Ellen "Louie" Vinson, 83, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Oakview Skilled Care in Jefferson City.

She was born Aug. 24, 1917, at Sikeston, daughter of Charles Samuel and Ella Sayers Tanner. She and Kenneth Vinson were married in May 1966. He died Oct. 11, 1996.

Vinson was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Sutton of Overland Park, Kan., Hugh Moose of Palm Desert, Calif.; a daughter, Ellen Murphy of Jefferson City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Koch officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Sunday from noon until service time.
