JONESBORO, Ill. -- Louis Ray Hogue, 73, of Jonesboro died Friday Oct. 13, 1995, at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Lick Creek, Ill., to Louie and Izetta Dillow Hogue.
Hogue married Marie Lowles in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1975.
He married Dorothy Brown in Valdez, Alaska, May 25, 1976. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Randall Hogue of Jonesboro and Joe and Roy Hogue of Dongola; two daughters, Marita Weaver of Louisville, Tenn., and Melsha Hogue of Jonesboro; two stepdaughters, Debbie Ayers and Sharon Martin of Jonesboro; a stepson, Wayne Brown of Wilmington, Ill.; a brother, Van Hogue of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Hogue was a retired pipeline foreman and member of the operating engineers local in Springfield, Ill.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
Friends may call the Hileman & Parr Funeral Chapel in Jonesboro today from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
