A memorial service for Michelle L. "Shelley" Plummer will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Mark Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Klein will officiate.
McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
Plummer, 69, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at her home.
She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Saginaw, Mich., daughter of Otto H. and Helen I. McDonald Finger. She and Virgil R. Plummer were married Jan. 11, 1958. He preceded her in death.
Plummer was a manager many years with Tupperware in St. Peters, Mo. After moving to Cape Girardeau she was a volunteer caregiver with Southeast Hospice, and won the Gabriel Award in 2000.
She was a longtime member of St. Mark Church and an active Sunday School teacher, chairman of the Evangelism Committee, member of Ruth Circle, a representative on the ELCA Central States Synod Outreach Committee, and a branch representative for Aid Association for Lutherans.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. David Birnbaum of Saginaw; a sister, Irene Suitor of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
