LEOPOLD -- Funeral Mass for Louis J. Hinkebein of Benton, Ky., was held Tuesday at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Aurora, Ky. The Rev. Richard Cash officiated, with burial in Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton.
Collier Funeral Home in Benton was in charge of arrangements.
Hinkebein, 84, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born Oct. 14, 1915, at Leopold, son of George and Bernadine Vandeven Hinkebein. He married Louise Houser Dennison.
Hinkebein retired as owner/operator of Hinkebein Sheet Metal in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Henry's Church, Knights of Columbus 11453 Council, and Honorary 4th Degree 2405 Council.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Jo Conkright and Carol Ann Phelps of Benton; two sons, Charles and Clem Hinkebein of Benton; a sister, Mary Jansen of Leopold; 12 grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
