SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Louis Dohogne Sr. of Silvis, Ill., was held Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Moline, Ill. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.
Schroder Mortuary at Silvis was in charge of arrangements.

Dohogne, 78, died Saturday, April 27, 1996, at Illini Hospital in Silvis.
He was born May 2, 1917, in Leachville, Ark., son of William and Anna Marie Georger Dohogne. He and Mary Elizabeth Poss were married Aug. 2, 1943, in St. Louis. She died in 1981.
Dohogne was reared in Scott City. He worked 31 years at John Deere Spreader Works and Parts Distribution Center, retiring in 1978. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Brooks of East Moline, Barb Terronez of Geneseo, Ill.; a son, Louis Dohogne Jr.; five sisters, Margaret Baltzell of Silvis, Bertha Wells of Scott City, Shirley Baker of Cahokia, Ill., Josephine Taylor of Godfrey, Ill., Mary Ann Eifert of Jackson, and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
