MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Louis Lesley Condict Sr., 80, of Matthews died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1920, in Mattoon, Ill., son of Arthur and Frances White Condict. He and Jean Myres were married Dec. 7, 1945, at Malden, Mo.
Condict was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid, Mo.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Louis Condict Jr. of Matthews, Gaylond Condict of Portland, Ore., Michael Condict of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Patricia Kinney of Plattsburg, Mo., Joy Perfetti of Horn Lake, Miss.; two brothers, Roy Condict of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Doyle Condict of Idalia, Mo.; four sisters, Ora Phfluger of Ellsinore, Mo., Wanda Richey of Qulin, Mo., Shirley Wyman of Clovis, N.M., Virgie Rossen of Wentzville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Mo., from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Merlin Myres officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites.
