SIKESTON -- Louella Mae Gentry, 73, of St. Louis, died Monday, July 22, 1991, at Incarnate Word Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 31, 1918, at Canalou, daughter of Frank and Della Mae Gipson Newman. She married Wes Gentry Jan. 17, 1935, at Sikeston. He died Tuesday, July 23, 1991...

SIKESTON -- Louella Mae Gentry, 73, of St. Louis, died Monday, July 22, 1991, at Incarnate Word Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 31, 1918, at Canalou, daughter of Frank and Della Mae Gipson Newman. She married Wes Gentry Jan. 17, 1935, at Sikeston. He died Tuesday, July 23, 1991.

Gentry was a retired licensed practical nurse and had worked in St. Louis hospitals.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Gentry of Alamogordo, N.M.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Hershell Newman will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
