Lou Shivelbine

Lou Shivelbine, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at her home.

She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Rolla, Mo., daughter of James M. and Bertha Cox Freeman. She and William Shivelbine were married July 24, 1947, in Terre Haute, Ind. He died June 1, 1991.

She was a member of St. Andrew Lsutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, William "Bill" Shivelbine of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Donna Grantham of Cape Girardeau and Kay Davidson of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Samuel Wayne Freeman of St. Louis; and a sister, Betty Carroll of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
