Lou Peters

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lou Ella Peters, 73, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at her home.

She was born Oct. 17, 1931, at LaValle, Mo., daughter of John and Francis Garner Trammell. She and John Peters were married July 21, 1946, at Zalma, Mo. He died Sept. 3, 1987.

Peters was formerly of Gideon, Mo. She was a line worker 17 1/2 years at Federal Mogul, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church at St. Mary, Mo.

Survivors include four sons, Gary and Danny Peters of Perryville, Johnny and Shawn Peters of Gideon; three daughters, Judy Sawyer of Moline, Ill., Sharon Walk and Brenda Lafferty of Perryville; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three great-grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Leon Corzine officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at McGee, Mo.
