LOTTIE K. HUMPHREYS

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Lottie K. Humphreys of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tim Wimberley will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Humphreys, 86, died Saturday, July 17, 1993, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Mississippi County, daughter of Layman and Bertie Metheny Lewis. She married Robert Emory Humphreys Sept. 10, 1925, at New Madrid.

Humphreys was a member of New Bethel Baptist church.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Ira Humphreys of Fayetteville, N.C., Donald and Clarence Humphryes of Truxton, Floyd Humphreys of Cuba, Ill., Bill Humphreys of East Prairie; four daughters, Sue Neal of Freeport, Texas, Katheryn Beeson of Conroe, Texas, Amy McMackin of Sikeston, Gloria Lehman of St. Peters; 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, a sister and two granddaughters.
