PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Loretta Ann Baker, 56, of Portageville died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of James Lee "Tiny" and Lillie Blakley Williams. She and Kenneth Baker were married Aug. 8, 1975, in Joliet, Ill. He died July 5, 2000.
Baker attended school at the Tiptonville and Portageville school districts, graduating in 1965. She lived and worked for several years in Cape Girardeau for Tanksley Trucking and in Poplar Bluff, Mo., for Champion Trucking.
Survivors include her mother of Portageville; three sisters, Ellie Klipfel and Kathy Hosworth, both of Portageville, Kaye Brands of Gordonville; a brother, Butch Williams of Portageville; four nieces, Lauren Hinklin of Portageville, Yvonne Omohundro of St. Charles, Mo., Leslie Jenkins of Jackson, Alisa Brands of Gordonville; six nephews, Brian Klipfel, Cory Hoxworth, Eric Williams, all of Portageville, Derek Hoxworth of Pensacola, Fla., Jason Klipfel of Kansas City, Josh Brands of San Diego, Calif.; four great-nieces, Emily Omohundro of St. Charles, Kelsey Klipfel of Kansas City, Allison Klipfel, Lindy Klipfel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sharon Howard officiating. Burial will be at Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Klipfel, Eric Williams, Cory Hoxworth, Britt Hinklin, Richard Jenkins and Derek Hoxwoth. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Brands, John Klipfel, Darrell Hoxworth and Joe Elrod.
