Lorene S. Wolak, 90, of Jackson passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 25, 1927, in Cape Girardeau to Lawrence H. and Ella Pobst Weissmueller. She and Joseph F. Wolak were married Aug. 3, 1957, in Cape Girardeau. They had been married 32 years when Joseph passed away June 28, 1990.
Lorene worked 16 years at the former Ramada Inn in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary, both in Jackson.
Loving survivors include a son, Wayne (the late Cheryl Kay) Wolak of Jackson; a granddaughter, Bobbi Bell of Jackson; five great-grandchildren, Katie and Brooklyn Phillips and Autumn, Gabrielle and Nolan Bell; and a sister, Clara Steimle of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kay Wolak; a granddaughter, Jami Lyn Wolak; three sisters, Mary Myer, Christine Schaefer and Anna Marie Seiler; a brother, Johnny Weissmueller; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Father John Harth officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
