Lorene C. Templeton, 95, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Ratliff Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 28, 1904, in Oran, Mo. daughter of William and Mary Menz Pobst. She married Chester Templeton in 1925 in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 1956.
Templeton worked for the International Shoe Factory as a machine operator for 30 years. After retiring from there, she worked for 10 years at Mr. C's IGA. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church and a former member of St. Mary Cathedral.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Campbell of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Baker Smith in 1991; three brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A parish prayer will take place at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
