Lorene Marie Niemeier, 76, 2989 Boutin, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Martin and Della Ernistine Koehrer Haman. She and Rudy Albert Niemeier were married Aug. 16, 1942, in Cape Girardeau.
Niemeier worked at the former Missourian Litho and Printing Co., and had been a cook at Cape Girardeau Public Schools. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday School.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Douglas and Michael Niemeier of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Janet Ryan of Macon, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Campbell of Jackson, Dorothy Kurre of Burfordville; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Steven A. MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
