Lorene Masters, 82, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Whitewater, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1919, in Asherville, Mo., daughter of Sylvanus and Nancy Hedge Kinnison. She and Ray Masters were married in August 1950. He died in December 1969.
Masters worked at Florsheim Shoe Co., and retired from the Lutheran Home in 1985. She was a member of Passover Methodist Church at Whitewater and had attended Whitewater Methodist Church. She was a member of Star Homemakers Club at Crump, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Kight of Leopold, Mo., Mary Beth Helderman of Whitewater; three sisters, Virgie Hendershott of Cape Girardeau, Juanita Pogue of Van Alstyne, Texas, Dorothy London of Marseilles, Ill.; a brother, Eldridge Kinnison of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Cemetery.
