Lorene Christine Manestar, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 31, 2006, at her home.
She was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Bunker Hill, Ill., daughter of Theodore and Henrietta Oldenettel Kuethe.
She and Stanley W. Manestar were married April 24, 1948, at St. Louis. He died Sept. 3, 2001.
Formerly of Webster Groves, Mo., she moved to Cape Girardeau in 1966. She was a secretary for Lovinggood-Horn Laboratory in Cape Girardeau and was a former Girl Scout leader. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Suvivors include a daughter, Susan K. Perdue of Cape Girardeau; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.
