ANNA, Ill. -- Lorene Lanier, 88, of Anna died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Anna, daughter of Robert and Bessie Johnson Lanier.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna and had worked as a secretary for the church, Anna Quarries and Anna State Hospital.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Lanier of Springfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
