LORENE KLAUS

FRIEDHEIM, Mo. -- Lorene Klaus, 96, of Friedheim died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 18, 1905, at Arnsburg, Mo., daughter of John and Ida Kayser Sauer. She and Norbert F. Klaus were married Aug. 15, 1924. He died Oct. 20, 1981.

Klaus was co-owner of N.F. Klaus Feed Store. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Milford (Violet) Klaus of Friedheim, Clyde (Gloria) Klaus of Four Seasons, Mo., Verla Klaus of Friedheim; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Klaus; a brother, and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo., from 4:30-8 p.m. today, and 6:30-8 a.m. Friday. A prayer service will be held at 7 tonight.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Burge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
