LORENE ERNST

Lorene L. Ernst, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born March 20, 1913, at New Hamburg, daughter of Leo and Regina Bisher Heuring. She and N.J. "Gene" Ernst were married June 28, 1938. He died March 28, 1991.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a son, Bob Ernst of St. Louis, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, with burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
