Lorene Burger, 95, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 22, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Zeddie M. and Mary Augusta Crafton Young. She and Leon Burger were married July 17, 1937, in Fredericktown, Missouri. He passed away Oct. 20, 2000.
Lorene attended Cape Girardeau public schools. She was a bookkeeper at Singer Co. 25 years, retiring in 1979.
Loving survivors include two brothers, Lane Young of Arab, Alabama, and Larry Young of Jackson; a sister, Louise Sebastian of Millersville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Saunders officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
