LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Loren Adam Revell, 79, of Leopold died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 2, 1926, at Whitewater, son of John L. and Flora Mae Spivey Revell. He married Dorothy L. Huffman Sept. 6, 1946, at Jackson.

Mr. Revell retired from Missouri Electric in Cape Girardeau. He had volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 315, and was of the Congregational Methodist belief.

He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the American Area and the Asiatic Pacific Fleet.

Survivors include his wife; children: Jolene Rhodes of St. Louis, Barbara and Larry Mayfield of Marble Hill, Mo., Billy and Darlene Revell of Sedgewickville, Mo., Brenda and Tony Millner of Fisk, Mo., Dan and Deb Revell of St. Ann, Mo.; a brother, Joe Revell and wife Rachel of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Bobbie Lagunta of San Francisco, Calif., Marie Douglas and husband Don of Marshalltown, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a grandson.

Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright officiating. Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery near Crump, with military honors to be conducted.
