Loren Maire-Angelique Letner, 28, of Miami Beach, Fla., died Thursday, April 29, 2004, in a fall at her home. Loren Maire-Angelique Letner, 28, of Miami Beach, Fla., died Thursday, April 29, 2004, in a fall at her home.

She was born Dec. 22, 1975, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Levin Grey Letner and Kathleen Murphy Payton.

Letner attended schools in Jonesboro, Ark. She received a degree in political science from Arkansas State University, and was a graduate of Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, La.

She was an assistant state attorney in Miami, Fla.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Levin and Lisa Letner of Cape Girardeau, Kathleen and Larry Payton of Jonesboro; two sisters, Deeda Payton of Miami, Courtney Letner of Boca Raton, Fla.; two brothers, Mark Payton of Harrisburg, Ark., Timothy Payton of Jonesboro; maternal grandfather, Richard Murphy of Issaquah, Wash.; and a friend, Terrence O'Sullivan of Miami Beach.

Friends may call at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday after 11 a.m. at H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville, Mo.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at H.S. Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ira Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
