JACKSON -- Loren D. "Wayne" Browning, 53, of Jackson died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, on his farm near Marble Hill.

He was born Nov. 25, 1943, in Olive Branch, Ill., son of DeLorain and Gertrude Gullett Browning. He married Paula Lynn.

Browning was a driver with Cape Girardeau County Transit Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy Weber of Wichita, Kan., Lori Browning of Carbondale, Ill.; five brothers, Clarence Browning of Salem, Ore., Larry Browning of Kennett, Donald and Jerry Browning of Vienna, Ill., James Browning of Oxford, Kan.; three sisters, Ella Browning of Cypress, Ill., Marilyn Barger of Herrin, Ill., Martha Coleman of Bell City; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5-8 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Ernest Browning and Robert Browning officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
