SIKESTON -- Lorean Evans, 79, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born March 18, 1918, in Warm Springs, Ark., son of John Wesley and Lola Madeline Flanigan Payne. She and Harry D. "Pete" Evans were married Sept. 26, 1936, in New Madrid. He died Sept. 30, 1974.
Evans was a member of Living Waters Tabernacle Church at Blodgett.
Survivors include four sons, David, John and Raburn Evans of Sikeston, Bobby Evans of Cardwell; two daughters, Eva Gross of Sikeston, Jeanne Clark of Cardwell; two brothers, Julius Payne of East Prairie, Jim Payne of Sikeston; three sisters, Velma Price of Ypsilanti, Mich. Vida Turley of East Prairie, Louise Stevens of Boonville; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sons, two brothers, and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
