ADVANCE, Mo. -- Loraine Laverne Hampton, 81, of Advance passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 26, 1937, in Senath, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur Green and Mary Edwards Davis. Loraine and Earl Hampton were united in marriage Dec. 1, 1956, in St. Louis, and he survives of the home.
Loraine retired as an office worker, having worked in many different offices during her time. She was a charter member of the Advance Eagles Aeries No. 4154 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also of the Church of Christ faith in Advance.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Hampton; two daughters, Lisa (Clark) Cloninger of Advance and Jennifer Morphew of Brownwood, Missouri; a brother, Art Green of Sturdivant, Missouri; four grandchildren, Leslie, Erin, Ace and Vanessa; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Day.
A burial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Ted Stone officiating.
Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of arrangements.
