ORAN -- Loomis Elden Pirtle, 86, of Oran, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1994, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 27, 1907, in Pulaski County, Ill., son of Bam L. and Della Allen Pirtle.
He married Emma Noama Edwards, June 1, 1944. She died April 9, 1991.
Pirtle was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Perkins, Mo.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Pirtle of Randles, Mo.; four daughters, Ruth Anne Standley of Marble Hill, Brenda Sue Cannon of Rockview, Mo., Rose Mary Wolfert of Perkins, Mo., Jeanette Janice Eftink of Chaffee; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Missionary Baptist Church in Perkins.
Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
